Interpreter (Malayalee/Nepali) in Shan, Myanmar


We are hiring an experienced Interpreter to join our team in Shan, Myanmar. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between Malayalee/Nepali and English speakers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services in a variety of settings such as business meetings, conferences, and social events
- Translate documents and written materials from Malayalee/Nepali to English or vice versa
- Ensure effective communication between parties by accurately conveying the tone, intent, and meaning of the conversation
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Act as a cultural liaison between parties to ensure understanding and avoid miscommunication
- Attend training sessions to continuously improve language skills and knowledge of specific subject matter

Requirements:
- Fluency in Malayalee/Nepali and English (written and spoken)
- Previous experience as an interpreter or translator preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different speaking styles and accents
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to understand complex information quickly
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of cultural norms and customs for both Malayalee/Nepali and English-speaking individuals

Education:
A bachelor's degree in translation, interpretation or a related field is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with occasional evening or weekend work required. The salary for this position is $900 per month.
