As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to customers and clients. Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding hardware, software, or network issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner
- Install new computer systems and software programs
- Provide training to customers on how to use various programs or equipment
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and solutions provided
- Collaborate with team members to identify recurring issues and develop solutions
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends in order to provide knowledgeable support
- Communicate technical information to non-technical individuals in a clear and understandable manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and operating systems
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications such as TeamViewer or Remote Desktop Connection
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Patience and empathy when dealing with frustrated or inexperienced users
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- High level of organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
