Librarian

Our library in Faro is seeking a skilled and experienced Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for books and information, as well as excellent organizational skills. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for maintaining the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and organizing educational and cultural events. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and digital resources
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Organize and promote educational programs and cultural events
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures
- Train and supervise library staff members
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, circulation, and patron statistics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems and electronic resources
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
