Librarian - Bansko, Pakistan


We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our library team in Bansko, Pakistan. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library and providing excellent customer service to all library patrons. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, acquisitions, circulation, and reference services
- Develop and maintain collections that meet the needs of the community
- Assist patrons with locating materials and provide reference services
- Plan and implement programs for all ages, such as storytimes, book clubs, and workshops
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and collection inventory
- Stay updated on current trends in literature and technology to improve library services
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other libraries to promote library programs and services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well with diverse populations
- Proficient in using library software systems
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Experience working with children or young adults
- Knowledge of multiple languages (especially Urdu)

Salary: $1000 per month
