Chef de Cuisine - Indian Cuisine (Jerusalem)
Our 5-star hotel in Jerusalem is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Cuisine specializing in Indian cuisine. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing our Indian kitchen, managing a small team of cooks, and ensuring the high-quality and timely delivery of all Indian dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create menus featuring authentic and innovative Indian dishes that appeal to both local and international guests
- Oversee the daily operations of the Indian kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Train and supervise junior members of the kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality standards
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate events and special menu requests
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a reputable Indian restaurant or hotel
- Extensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine, with experience in creating menus using locally sourced ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (Hebrew is an advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
