IT Manager



The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's information technology systems and infrastructure. They will work closely with other departments to ensure that technology is effectively integrated into business operations and support the overall goals of the organization. This position is based in Porto and offers a salary of 1400$, accommodation, and visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage and maintain all company hardware, software, and network systems
- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems
- Oversee data security measures to protect against cyber threats or breaches
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions that support their objectives
- Manage IT budget and work with vendors to negotiate contracts for hardware, software, or services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in an IT management role
- Strong knowledge of network administration, data management, security protocols, and disaster recovery planning
- Proficiency in hardware/software installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-tech personnel
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing an IT team
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluent in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
