Junior Librarian


We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Librarian to join our team at a reputable library in Lahore. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the management and organization of library materials, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting library services and programs. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates without experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of library materials, including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and electronic resources
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons in person or via telephone or email
- Promote library services and programs to increase patron usage
- Assist with circulation duties such as checking materials in/out, issuing library cards, and collecting fines
- Help with collection development by reviewing new materials and making recommendations for purchase
- Conduct basic cataloging of new materials using established standards
- Participate in planning and implementing events and programs for library patrons
- Maintain a clean and organized library space

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on qualifications)

Location: Lahore (accommodation provided if needed)
