We are hiring an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases and ensuring their security, availability, and performance.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the database
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs
- Develop data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval of information
- Regularly perform database maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and optimization
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL language and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with database design principles
- Experience with database security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
