Construction Project Coordinator
The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction project management. As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects within budget
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Construction Manager
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment to ensure timely delivery
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Maintain accurate records of project documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of tasks
- Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms for the company
- Work closely with the Construction Manager to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project coordination or a related role
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles, methods, and practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g. Primavera)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Valid work permit for Canada (preferred)
This is a contract position offering a salary of 1400$ per week. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates without previous experience in Canada.
