Entry-Level Crane Operator in Almada, Portugal

As an entry-level crane operator, you will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment on construction sites in Almada. This is a physically demanding job that requires strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. You will work closely with the site foreman and follow specific instructions to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes according to manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
- Inspect crane before and after each shift, reporting any malfunctions or damages.
- Ensure proper rigging techniques are used for lifting materials.
- Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or radio to direct crane movement.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities including materials lifted, hours worked, etc.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy machinery for extended periods of time.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic understanding of rigging techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others in a team environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- No previous experience required - training will be provided.
