Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are a renowned hotel in Bansko seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our Indian cuisine kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and authentic Indian dishes, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design Indian-inspired menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety standards, and overall kitchen operations
- Oversee daily food preparation, quality control, portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes
- Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary ingredients while minimizing waste
- Collaborate with management to create cost-effective menus without compromising on quality
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Indian cuisine chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Proven ability to manage a team of kitchen staff
- In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Certified culinary training or degree is preferred
