Job Title: Librarian

We are in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Librarian. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting literacy and reading programs. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month in the beautiful city of Funchal. Visa sponsorship is available for all nationalities.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding out outdated materials
- Assist patrons with research needs, including locating materials, navigating databases, and providing reference services
- Plan and implement literacy and reading programs to promote engagement with the community
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs and provide resources for students
- Maintain an inviting atmosphere in the library by creating displays, organizing events, and keeping the space clean and orderly
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in literature, technology, and library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Proficient in using library databases and technology for research purposes
- Passion for promoting literacy and engaging with the community through programming
