Turner Apprentice


As a Turner Apprentice in our company, you will be responsible for learning and assisting with the machining of metal parts using lathes, milling machines, and other tools. You will work alongside experienced turners to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in this trade.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting up and operating lathes, milling machines, and other related tools to produce metal parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine cutting speeds, feed rates, and tooling requirements
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any issues to senior turners
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently

Requirements:
- Prior experience in machining or metalworking is preferred but not required
- Must be enrolled in a relevant technical training program or hold a high school diploma/GED equivalent
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced professionals
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic calculations
- Must have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects if necessary

Salary: $1300 per month

City: Faro, Portugal (Preference for Portuguese nationals or residents)
