Registered Dietitian - Braga, Portugal


We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Registered Dietitian, you will work closely with patients to provide personalized nutrition plans and counseling to promote healthy eating habits and manage any medical conditions. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop customized meal plans for patients based on their medical history, dietary needs, and goals
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients on healthy eating habits, portion control, and food choices
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in the field of nutrition to provide evidence-based recommendations to patients
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of all consultations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian
- Current registration with the Portuguese Board of Nutritionists (Ordem dos Nutricionistas)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively educate patients on complex nutrition information
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for various medical conditions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Fluency in Portuguese (both written and spoken)
