English Teacher


We are hiring an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a school in Nakuru, Kenya. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching students the fundamentals of the English language, and assessing their progress. We are seeking a patient, enthusiastic, and organized individual who has excellent communication skills and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and teaching materials that meet the school's curriculum standards
- Instruct students in the fundamentals of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation
- Use a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess students' progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and other forms of evaluation
- Provide feedback to students and parents on student progress and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan cross-curricular activities and projects
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Teaching certification from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching English to primary or secondary students
- Native or near-native proficiency in English language
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability in working with diverse learners
- Knowledge of current educational practices and techniques

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Nakuru, Kenya.

Contract Type:
This is a full-time contract position with a duration of one year.
