Junior Database Administrator



The role of a Junior Database Administrator (DBA) is to assist in the management and maintenance of a company's database systems. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone who is passionate about databases and eager to gain hands-on experience in this field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of database software
- Monitor database performance and ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Develop and maintain documentation on database processes and procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize database usage and performance
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology
- Maintain security of sensitive information within the databases

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Basic understanding of SQL language and relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Familiarity with database administration tools (e.g. Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible, adaptable, with a willingness to learn new technologies
