Machine Learning Engineer (Part-Time, Entry Level)



We are seeking a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Funchal. This is a part-time position suitable for students or individuals without prior experience in the field. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models to improve our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for applying machine learning techniques
- Develop and implement machine learning models to solve complex problems
- Use data mining techniques to gather relevant data for training and testing models
- Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation to improve model performance
- Continuously monitor and optimize existing models for accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow or Scikit-Learn is a plus
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
