Fitter - Maintenance and Repair Technician

As a Fitter - Maintenance and Repair Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of various mechanical equipment in our facilities. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production processes. You will also be responsible for performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical equipment, such as pumps, motors, conveyor systems, and other industrial machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise with the equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they affect production
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient coordination of maintenance tasks
- Communicate any complex or major repairs needed to management in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role as a fitter or maintenance technician
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working with machinery
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills

Working Conditions:
