Back-End Developer

We are seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side of our web applications and databases. Your primary focus will be ensuring high performance and responsiveness of our applications, while integrating front-end elements into the application.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side code for web applications
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Design and implement data storage solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, Ruby)
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git)
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
