Hotel Sales Manager

We are in need of a dynamic and experienced Hotel Sales Manager to join our team in Braga. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing hotel revenue through developing and implementing effective sales strategies and maximizing occupancy rates. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, conducting market research, and analyzing sales data to identify opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new business and maintain existing clients
- Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and create targeted marketing campaigns
- Generate sales leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service
- Attend weekly sales meetings and provide reports on sales activities and progress towards targets
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, revenue management, and operations to ensure a cohesive approach towards achieving overall business goals
- Monitor competitor activity and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge
- Train and mentor junior members of the sales team

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel sales management role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese language skills preferred)
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to close deals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems (e.g. Opera)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
