Database Administrator - Beer-Sheva, Israel



We are hiring a Database Administrator to join our team at a leading IT company in Beer-Sheva, Israel. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our databases to ensure their availability, security, and performance.

As a Database Administrator, you will work closely with our development and operations teams to design, implement, and optimize our databases. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing solutions to improve database performance.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of database management systems and experience with database design and optimization. You should also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining databases
- Ensuring the availability, security, and performance of databases
- Troubleshooting issues with databases and implementing solutions
- Collaborating with development and operations teams on database design
- Monitoring database performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Performing regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Maintaining data integrity and security protocols
- Providing technical support to end-users

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, optimization, backup/recovery procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred:
- Certification in Database Administration
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop)
- Knowledge of cloud-based databases (AWS)

This is a full-time position based in Beer-Sheva. Salary is 1500$ per month. This position is suitable for men who are Pakistani nationals living in Israel or willing to relocate.
