Preservation Architect - Contract Position in Braga, Portugal



We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Preservation Architect to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the preservation and restoration of historical buildings and structures. This is a contract position with the possibility for visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Develop preservation plans and proposals, including cost estimates, for clients
- Collaborate with construction teams to oversee preservation projects from start to finish
- Research and recommend appropriate materials and techniques for preservation work
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
- Keep detailed records of project progress and expenses
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or questions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in preservation architecture or related field
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Experience working with construction teams on preservation projects is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Salary:
This is a contract position paying 1600$ per month.

The job will be located in Braga, Portugal.
