Pastry Chef - Vianden, Luxembourg
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the charming city of Vianden, Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually stunning desserts, as well as strong leadership and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and other desserts
- Develop new dessert recipes while also maintaining the quality and consistency of existing ones
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to ensure quality and efficiency in the kitchen
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the pastry section
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to create cohesive menus that highlight pastry offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a reputable institution
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures used in pastry making
- Strong creativity, with an eye for presentation and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (French or German is a plus)
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1500 per month. Salary may be negotiable depending on experience.
