Head Chef - Vianden, Luxembourg
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Vianden, Luxembourg. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menu items that meet the hotel's standards and guest preferences.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers.
- Maintain inventory levels and order necessary supplies.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to stay within budget.
- Create daily specials based on availability of ingredients.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a head chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and recipes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Good understanding of food cost control measures.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Must have excellent communication skills in English.
Salary: 1700$ per month
This is a full-time position, open to all nationalities. Candidates must have their own visa or be eligible to obtain one. Minimum education requirement is completion of high school (12 pass).
