Part-Time Computer Support Specialist


We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Computer Support Specialist in Svalbard. In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to our clients, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and maintaining computer systems, and ensuring smooth operation of all IT equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support via phone, email or in person to clients with computer-related issues
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner
- Install, configure and maintain computer systems, including operating systems and applications
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Set up new devices and perform upgrades as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all support requests and resolutions
- Communicate complex technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical users

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
- Proven experience in a similar role is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of hardware components, operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and common software applications (Microsoft Office)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP protocols)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. You will be required to work 20 hours per week. This position does not include accommodation or visa sponsorship.
