IT Support Specialist - Svalbard


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in Svalbard. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients. This is a full-time position and does not include accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email or in person.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest software updates and security patches.
- Create and maintain documentation of IT procedures and solutions.
- Train clients on how to use new technology or software applications.
- Collaborate with team members to improve overall system performance.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is required.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
