Preservation Architect



We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and cultural significance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and design of historic buildings
- Create detailed preservation plans and proposals
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute preservation projects
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to preservation standards
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess building conditions
- Administer contracts, budgets, and timelines for preservation projects
- Utilize specialized techniques and materials for restoration projects
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in preservation architecture or a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of architectural history, conservation principles, and preservation techniques
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software is preferred
- Fluent in Portuguese (written and spoken), knowledge of English is a plus

We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this full-time position. This does not include accommodation. However, we can assist with finding suitable accommodations if needed.
