Clinical Dietitian - Svalbard
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of our patients in Svalbard. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to assess and manage patients' nutritional needs, create personalized meal plans, and provide education on healthy eating habits. This is a full-time position that requires experience in the field of dietetics.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage patients' nutritional needs
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits and provide resources for maintaining a balanced diet
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of dietetics
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans
- Keep accurate records of patient progress and document any changes or concerns
- Provide support and guidance to other healthcare professionals on nutrition-related matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian
- Registered Dietitian (RD) license preferred
- Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and ability to apply it to patient care
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Passion for improving the health and well-being of others
