Pastry Chef
We are hiring an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Al-Khor, Qatar. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods for our restaurant. You will also be in charge of managing inventory, creating new recipes, and maintaining high food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Pastry Chef
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to create new and innovative dessert recipes
- Experience with managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Excellent time management skills
- Food safety certification is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to the menu and customer requests
- Create new dessert recipes that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient operation of the pastry kitchen
- Maintain high food safety standards at all times
- Train new staff members on pastry techniques and recipes as needed
- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure timely service of pastries during busy periods
- Keep track of daily production records for pastries prepared
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
