Merchandiser Assistant
The Merchandiser Assistant will be responsible for supporting the merchandising team in all aspects of product selection, purchasing, and inventory management. This role will work closely with the Merchandiser to ensure that products are selected and purchased in a timely manner to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Merchandiser in selecting and purchasing products based on sales data and customer demand
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and products
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any potential shortages or overstock situations
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices, place orders, and track delivery dates
- Create purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all purchases
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt of products
- Prepare reports on sales data, inventory levels, and product performance
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for specific products
- Assist with product pricing and markdowns as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in retail merchandising or purchasing roles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with biometric passport technology is a plus
Salary: $1100 USD per month
Location: US (candidate can be located anywhere within the country)
