Back-End Developer



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back-End Developer to join our team in Bergen. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side of our web applications. Your main duties will include designing and implementing efficient APIs, managing data storage solutions, and collaborating with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between systems.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain the server-side of web applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Build efficient APIs for data exchange between server and client
- Manage data storage solutions and ensure data security
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry best practices and implement them in development processes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan new features and functionality

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer for at least 3 years
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or PHP
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with front-end languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of web development principles including RESTful APIs, MVC architecture, and object-oriented design
- Experience working with version control systems like Git or SVN
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:

- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra
- Familiarity with DevOps tools for automation, deployment, and monitoring
