Land Surveyor
We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Svalbard. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys and producing accurate maps and measurements for various construction and development projects. You will use a variety of tools and techniques to collect data, analyze it, and create detailed reports for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using various equipment such as GPS, total stations, and surveying software
- Mark boundaries, set reference points, and determine elevations using precise measurements
- Analyze data collected from surveys to create detailed reports and maps
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to provide accurate information for construction projects
- Ensure that all work is done in compliance with legal regulations and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of all surveys and reports
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a land surveyor
- Proficient in using surveying tools such as GPS, total stations, and surveying software
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of legal regulations related to land surveys
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Svalbard (own visa required)
