Part-Time Teacher
We are in need of a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Teacher to join our team in Svalbard. As a Part-Time Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in their academic journey. Your main role will be to create engaging lesson plans, conduct classroom activities, and assess student progress. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching, preferably in a similar setting, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the needs of individual students
- Conduct classroom activities that promote interactive learning and engage students
- Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and other forms of evaluation
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their performance
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan interdisciplinary projects or events
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Proven experience as a teacher or educator
- Familiarity with various teaching methods appropriate for different age groups
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or license
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of technology integration in the classroom
Salary: $1500 per month (based on part-time hours)
Location: Svalbard (candidate must have own visa)
