Hotel Sales Manager - Funchal, Portugal (Visa Sponsorship Available)



As a Hotel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue and increase occupancy for our hotel in Funchal. Your main focus will be on attracting new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase occupancy
- Identify new business opportunities through market research and networking
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and positive word-of-mouth
- Create attractive packages and promotions to attract new guests and retain current ones
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and negotiations with potential clients
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination for group bookings and events
- Monitor competition and adjust sales strategies as needed to stay ahead in the market
- Train and mentor junior sales team members

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Hotel Sales Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is required
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and customer service principles
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of local market trends and key players in the hospitality industry in Funchal
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Valid work permit for Portugal (visa sponsorship available for the right candidate)
