Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other architects to ensure that the preservation process is carried out in accordance with historical and architectural standards. This position is located in Herzliya, but we welcome candidates from Egypt or Kenya to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on historical buildings and structures to determine their unique characteristics and significance
- Developing preservation plans that adhere to local and international historical preservation standards
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other architects to ensure the preservation process is carried out effectively
- Overseeing the restoration of historical buildings and structures, including managing budgets and timelines
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress of restoration projects
- Communicating with local authorities to obtain necessary permits for restoration work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in historical preservation projects
- Knowledge of local and international historical preservation standards and techniques
- Strong project management skills, including budget management and timeline adherence
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough research on historical buildings
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
