Senior Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. As a Senior Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative and delicious desserts and pastries for our restaurant. Your main duties will include overseeing the pastry kitchen, managing inventory and ordering, training junior pastry chefs, and ensuring quality control of all pastry dishes.
To be successful in this role, you should have a creative flair for dessert making and strong leadership skills. A degree in culinary arts or relevant field is preferred along with at least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef. You should also have excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Create new dessert and pastry menu items
- Oversee the production of all pastries and desserts
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train junior pastry chefs on techniques and recipes
- Ensure consistent quality of all pastry dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen
- Develop cost-effective recipes without compromising on taste or quality
- Collaborate with other departments to develop seasonal menus
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or relevant field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef
- Strong leadership skills
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Experience in managing inventory and ordering supplies
Salary: $1100 per month
