Librarian (Filipino) in Jizan, Saudi Arabia



We are hiring a Filipino Librarian to join our team in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing, managing and maintaining our library collection. You will also assist library patrons in finding and accessing information, as well as providing recommendations for reading materials.

Requirements:
- Filipino nationality preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Fluent in English
- Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing information and resources
- Provide recommendations for reading materials based on patron's interests or needs
- Manage the library's circulation system to ensure accurate record keeping of borrowed materials
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and encourage reading among patrons
- Maintain the library's physical space by shelving books, arranging displays, and ensuring cleanliness
- Keep up-to-date with new literature and resources to enhance the library's collection
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and execute events or programs
- Train new staff members on library procedures and policies

This is a contract position with a salary of $1400 per month. The role is suitable for men who have a passion for books and knowledge. Accommodation will not be provided.
