Indian Pastry Chef in Washington
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Washington. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious Indian desserts and pastries, while also managing the pastry section of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new dessert recipes that reflect traditional Indian flavors and techniques.
- Prepare a variety of high-quality desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other sweet treats.
- Ensure all pastries are made with the freshest ingredients and adhere to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory for pastry ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff on pastry techniques and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry section in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with other chefs to create harmonious menus that incorporate both savory dishes and desserts.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in an Indian restaurant or hotel.
- Extensive knowledge of Indian desserts, flavors, and techniques.
- Ability to create new recipes with unique flavor profiles.
- Strong leadership skills to manage a team of pastry cooks.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
