Machine Learning Engineer - Part-Time (Svalbard)


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Svalbard. This is a part-time position with accommodation included. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative machine learning solutions to solve complex problems and improve our products and services.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models to analyze large datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for implementing machine learning solutions
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for efficient data processing
- Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and model selection to optimize performance
- Develop tools and frameworks for automating model training, deployment, and monitoring
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and apply them to improve existing processes
- Communicate technical findings in a clear manner to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, deep learning etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and model development
- Experience with libraries like Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch for building neural networks
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud for deploying models at scale
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with large datasets and developing production-level machine learning models
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for text analytics tasks
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for presenting insights from data analysis

Salary: The salary for this position is 1800$ per month.

Location: This job is based in Svalbard but can be done remotely with accommodation provided.
