Pastry Chef
Our restaurant in Mauren is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef who is passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing desserts. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating our dessert menu, ordering ingredients, and managing the pastry team. You will also be in charge of maintaining a clean and organized pastry station and ensuring all desserts are prepared and presented according to our high standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and recipes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
Responsibilities:
- Create and update dessert menu with new items seasonally
- Order ingredients and supplies needed for pastry station
- Train, supervise, and schedule pastry team members
- Oversee production of all desserts, ensuring quality and consistency
- Decorate pastries using various techniques (piping, glazing, etc.)
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen team on special events or catering orders
- Continuously seek ways to improve recipes, presentation, and efficiency
