Collections Specialist


We are hiring a Collections Specialist to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and collecting on delinquent accounts. This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email or mail to collect overdue payments
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers
- Keep detailed records of collection efforts and customer interactions
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
- Monitor payment deadlines and follow up with customers accordingly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information
- Provide excellent customer service while handling difficult situations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
- Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
