Surveying Technician
The Surveying Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to the surveying team in the collection, analysis, and presentation of land and property data. This role will primarily involve conducting field surveys, using various equipment and tools to accurately measure and record land features. The ideal candidate should have experience in surveying and a strong understanding of land surveying principles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting field surveys using equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels
- Record measurements and data accurately and efficiently
- Process collected data using software such as AutoCAD or GIS
- Create detailed maps, drawings, and reports based on survey results
- Communicate with project managers to ensure accurate data collection and reporting
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues
- Adhere to safety protocols while conducting field work
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in surveying technology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in surveying or related field
- Proficient in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels
- Strong understanding of land surveying principles and techniques
- Experience with AutoCAD or GIS software preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
This is a contract position based in the US. All genders are welcome to apply. Salary for this role is $1200 per month. We are looking for someone who can start immediately.
