Civil Engineer - Biometric Passport Specialist (Wiltz, Luxembourg)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in biometric passport design and implementation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of biometric passport systems in Wiltz, Luxembourg. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our nation's passport system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement biometric passport systems in accordance with international standards and regulations
- Collaborate with government agencies to develop and implement strategies for efficient and secure passport processing
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities in current systems, and propose solutions to mitigate risks
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of biometric passport equipment
- Train staff on proper use of biometric equipment and procedures
- Stay updated on industry developments related to biometric technology, regulations, and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Civil Engineer with specific expertise in biometric passport design and implementation
- Knowledge of international standards for biometric passports
- Experience working with government agencies is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required
