Indian Accountant in Nizwa, Oman


We are a well-established company in Nizwa, Oman seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash transactions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Communicate with clients to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Contract Details:
This is a contract position for 1 year with the possibility of extension. The salary for this position is $1200 per month. This position does not include accommodation, therefore candidates must be able to secure their own housing arrangements.

Other Requirements:
Candidates must hold a valid biometric passport. Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
