Junior Information Security Analyst


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Information Security Analyst to join our team in Svalbard. As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's information assets. This is an entry-level position, ideal for candidates without prior experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security logs to identify potential security threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain security controls to protect against cyber attacks
- Conduct regular security audits and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist with incident response and remediation efforts
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging security threats

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field preferred but not required
- Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems, and web applications
- Knowledge of common security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month for this position.

Location:
This is an on-site position in Svalbard. Candidates must have their own accommodation arrangements in place.

Visa:
Candidates must have their own valid visa to work in Svalbard.
