Blast Furnace Operator



We are currently seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace in order to produce high-quality iron and steel products. This is a contract job that offers a salary of 900$ per month, with the possibility of visa sponsorship for foreign workers.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control all aspects of the blast furnace operation, including temperature, pressure, and gas flow
- Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing equipment, replacing parts, and cleaning components
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
- Monitor the quality of the iron and steel produced, making adjustments as needed to meet production standards
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the operation of the blast furnace
- Keep accurate records of production data and maintenance tasks performed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a blast furnace or similar industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Basic understanding of metallurgy principles
- Ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset)
