Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Ashdod, Israel. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring their structural stability and maintaining their original design elements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analyze historical documents to understand the original design and construction of buildings and structures
- Assess the current condition of historical buildings and structures and identify areas that require preservation or restoration
- Develop plans for preserving or restoring historical buildings, taking into consideration the original design elements, materials, and construction techniques
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of the building during preservation or restoration work
- Source materials that match the original design elements of the building for use in preservation or restoration work
- Supervise construction work to ensure it adheres to preservation standards and guidelines
- Monitor progress of preservation or restoration projects and make adjustments as needed
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect, preferably with experience in historical preservation projects
- Knowledge of historical building materials, construction techniques, and preservation methods
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations regarding historic preservation
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, engineers, etc.
Salary: $1700/month
