Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to set type and create layouts for various print materials
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and clients to determine the best design and layout for each project
- Ensure that all text is formatted correctly, including font style, size, spacing, and alignment
- Make necessary adjustments to typography to ensure readability and aesthetic appeal
- Incorporate images and graphics into layouts as needed
- Proofread all materials before final printing to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Requirements:
- Proficiency in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Knowledge of typography principles and design elements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to catch errors in text formatting
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Creativity and an eye for design aesthetics
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in graphic design or a related field
- Experience working as a typesetter or layout designer in the publishing industry or advertising agency setting
