Crane Operator

We are hiring a skilled crane operator to join our team in Mombasa. As a crane operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and objects. This is a contract job with a salary of 1500$. No English proficiency is required for this position and women are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the crane before each use
- Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or radio communication
- Ensure safe and efficient movement of materials according to instructions from supervisor
- Monitor load weight and adjust crane accordingly to prevent accidents or damage
- Keep accurate records of materials lifted and moved
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating the crane

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a crane operator in construction or industrial settings
- Valid crane operator license or certification from recognized institution
- Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong focus on safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed

Preferred:
- Familiarity with different types of cranes and their operations
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles
- Fluent in Swahili
