Computer Support Specialist
A computer support specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance to individuals and organizations in need of computer-related help. They are also responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, peripherals, and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users experiencing computer problems, including hardware, software, and network issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems remotely or in person
- Install and configure new hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Maintain and update system documentation and knowledge base
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex issues
- Train users on how to use new hardware or software
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security by implementing appropriate measures such as data backups and virus protection
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends, products, and services
Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; some employers may prefer a degree in a related field
- Proven experience as a computer support specialist or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Mac OS)
- Familiarity with common software applications (Microsoft Office suite)
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Willingness to continuously learn new technologies
Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $1000 per month. Additional benefits such as accommodation may be provided depending on the employer.

This job is located in the United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
